Our Founder

Andre Dolphin

Owner & Founder

Andre didn't find the trades; he grew up in them. From an early age, his father introduced him to framing and carpentry, instilling a hands-on work ethic and a deep respect for the craft. The first builds were bird houses and longboards — small projects, but the habit of making something real with his own hands stuck, and it has shaped everything Hive Contracting stands for today.

In October 2021, Andre founded Hive Contracting Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta, channeling years of industry experience into a company built around quality, accountability, and relationships. The early years were spent immersed in new construction: learning the full lifecycle of a build from the ground up and forging the trade partnerships that remain the backbone of the company today.

Now operating as a full-service general contracting company, Hive has grown into larger, more diverse projects, broadening our scope and bringing the same standard of craftsmanship to every trade under one roof. At the heart of it all is a passion for turning a client's vision into something real, and that process doesn't end until the plan truly reflects what they had in mind.
